Then sail onwards to the Mediterranean's largest island, Sicily, with its amazing Greek remains and city names.  Visit the tiny volcanic island of Pantelleria or the Pelagian isles of Lampedusa - with its literary links to the novel ‘Il Gattopardo' - and Linosa and Lampione, which lie midway between North Africa and Europe.   

Sail longer stretches to reach the most southerly tip of Italy or the most northerly shores of Tunisia.
